Would you recommend Battlestar Galactica to a person who has zero interest in sci-fi? I personally think Star Trek sucks shit. Yet I find novels such as "Hyperion" to be really fascinating. Please advise.

No, I never have. Though I am super eagerly awaiting the Star Wars live action series coming out in a few years. Taking place during the DARK FUCKING TIMES.

I'm mega-obsessed with Star Wars, but I don't bother with sci-fi outside of it. Star Wars is actually incredibly complex and philosophical and so much of the story is told visually. There are so many parallels and bits of wisdom that people miss out on because they take everything at face value. Star Wars is as much a commentary on our world and topics such as society, government, religion and morality as it is a kick-ass group of action movies and I love it for that. I watched the Clone Wars animated series, I read a TON of the novels/comics and I play the games. The Knights of the Old Republic games are BRILLIANT if anybody wants to play an RPG in the Star Wars galaxy that is entertaining and enlightening. Kreia is one of the best characters ever invented for anything.:worship: Oh, and the prequel trilogy dominates the originals in every sense of the word and you can fuck right off if you don't like them.

Anyway, I'd be interested to take a look at some of these if they have a great story, but my interests are pretty much Star Wars/Music and it's hard to squeeze a lot of major stuff inbetween.

It's been 40 years since the 12 colonies of mankind have heard from their progeny, the Cylons -- robotic creatures who rose up and declared war on their masters, then disappeared. In a sudden, devastating strike, the Cylons return and lay waste to the colonies, aided by human-looking Cylon variants and an unwitting fifth columnist. The attack forces Commander William Adama to call into action his museum-piece warship, the Battlestar Galactica, and soon its company of hotshot fighter pilots is blasting away at the invaders. But their best efforts can't prevent the colonies' obliteration. Fleeing the Cylon genocide, the Galactica leads a rag-tag fleet of survivors on a lonely quest to find humanity's fabled 13th colony -- a planet known as Earth.

This sounds pretty cool. My interest was peaked by normal average joe's saying it was good.

rofl, cooking shows always make me so damn hungry, and they purposedly put them on at dinner hour, jackasses.

Any opinion on any form of art that you've previously expressed has all been negated and discredited by this single statement.

Uh, what the fuck? Midi-chlorians, dude, midi-chlorians.

I watched an episode of Battlestar Galactica once by accident, and I had no idea what it was. It reminded me of a combination of Star Craft and Halo in live action. Only later did I find out what it was and it was pretty cool. So when does this air? Maybe I should start following this one. I never really watched any of the other ones mentioned either.

I saw one of those Ewok movies a long time ago when I was like seven or someshitz. it seemed cool at the time, but I'd be damned if I could remember anything about it besides these kids that lost their parents or something.

the ewok movies are cute. holiday special is fucking atrocious but any self-respecting star wars fan should sit through it at least once. it has art carney and jefferson starship!! once you watch it you'll agree with lucas's decision to hunt down and destroy all copies in existence and ban its airing forever
