I understand but their is contraversy in my town. Their thinking
about benching Manning and co. along with the other first stringers
and put Jim Sorgi and the other players in at the last game when they
play Arizona. Im kinda torn about this a part of me wants the colts
to run the gauntlet but a part of me wants to make sure that the colts
stay healthy in the playoffs what do you think Mr. Swine?

I think it makes sense to want to sit the starters, but I think it makes even more sense to rest them after the middle of the 3rd quarter if the team they are playing doesn't show a sign of life... You know what I mean?
Did you see Jim Sorgi in the game in Tokyo against ATL? The guy nearly brought them back for the win....
I think he fits the system, I don't know that he would fit anywhere else...
Indy stay competative, take the record from those Geezers in Miami, Please!

It's a tough one. If you play the stars in basically meaningless games and one of them gets hurt right before the playoffs, it's bad. If you don't play the starters you run the risk of them being rusty for the first playoff game. Especially with that first round bye. I like Sixx's idea of going to the backups in the third quarter. It sits somewhere in between the two. Back in '98 the Broncs did that, for the most part. They also went vanilla in their offensive and defensive sets. Sure they got beat by the Giants and Miami but it was clear that Miami had not a clue what they were doing when they came to Denver in the playoffs. The Colts ought to worry about what gives them the best chance to win the SB and forget about the 16-0.

If they do win out and my Broncs meet them in the AFC Championship game I like their chances with all the added pressure of the undefeated season and the cockiness that's sure to come from having thrashed them in the playoffs the last two years.

I don't think that the "Colts" are the ones wanting the 16-0 season, it's the fans and the media that are sick of the '72 Dolphins...
Realistically, they stand a chance at going 16-0, as I mentioned, play the starters, rest them later in the game...
They are a lock for the Superbowl, I can't say the same for the Donkies though, they are bound to unravel sooner or later...
As for the comment about the "meltdown" the Colts have had the last two years?! Well, that will not happen this time around, don't count them out!
You know who needs to make a change? Pittsburg, they must rid themselves of the SGT.Slaughter clone they have a s a coach! They'll never get any futher than they have gotten, in fact I'm willling to say that Ben will be like Marino...
Write that down! Last year will be as good as it gets for him, ever...
Wait, Marino has one up on him, he made the Superbowl!

Hmm you guys have interesting points. We'll see in the next few weeks. Which team do you think
has dibs in the NFC. I like Chicago's chances. Perhaps Atlanta or
Seattle?

The Bears will crash and burn, Seattle isn't a proven team, I hope The Eagles burst their bibble on Monday night...
I still think it will be an NFC South Team for the NFC, no not the Ain'ts!!!!

I have to agree with you Swine Atlanta choked yesterday Vick looked like
he was still in the Pop Warner league with all those sacks and interceptions yesterday and I dont think the bear's defense is strong enough to carry
them in the playoff Kyle Orton played like he was a 3rd stringer red shirt
freshman at Purdue. We'll see tonight what the Seahawks have to offer
I don't know I just have a feeling about that team. And how about those
12-0 Colts they dominated the Titans yesterday. Next week will be a tough
challenge at Jacksonville and Im with Tony Dungy about taking this season
one game at a time. And shit how about the Bengals man they might have
just eliminated poor old Pittsburgh chances of making the playoffs not that
I have any sympathy for the steelers fans and media that accused a certain NFL team of cheating or anything a couple of monday's ago.:Smug:

ATL had Carolina's number! And they lost it! This was a game that they needed to win... As far, as I am concerened the last 5 games were must wins!
With Tampa and The Panthers playing quality ball, it's a must....
Maybe the team is showing their youth?!
The Colts didn't cheat, it's Cower's sour grapes...
He needs to go! If he wanted to feel like he was at home, he shouldn't have made the trip! What was he expecting?! They roll out the red carpet and meet him at the end of it with open arms?! What kind of knucklehead is that?!
Fuck him....

Agreed! Hey I wonder if the Eagle players are going to show up Friday
to pick up their checks because with that piss poor performance
maybe they should donate a part of thier salary so they can find a good WR Lol.
I mean Seattle just owned the Eagles like a 1982 K-car! I mean just wow!
And now the Titans are talking smack about how our defense was hitting
them illegally I think everyone outside the midwest with the exception of you just cant stand
us winning which is good it gives my team motivation i mean Jacksonville has
a solid defense and from what I heard Leftwich's replacement is a pretty fair
QB himself and they have some good WR's on their team so this really ought
to be a good game coming sunday. I say Indpls 21 to 14. The Jags had
always played us tight year by year. It's Atlanta vs NOLA this monday night
right?

Surely you have some football to talk about B?!

Hmmm..... not much good stuff. My Steelers have lost three straight and will need to win out to get a shot at the play-offs. A tough Bears team and a resurgent Vikings team as well as games with Cleveland and Detroit will be upcoming for them. To look on the bright side though. THe Steelers scored 31 points. Had they not turned the ball over four times, they would have most certainly beaten Cincy. I was worried about the offense after the egg they laid against Indy. Aside from securing the football, the offense woke up last SUnday.

Donkies? Nice. I thought this was all friendly and shit. :p Oh well.

I was talking about the Colts thrashing the *Broncos* the last two years in the playoffs.

You go it. The Broncos will only go as far as Jake "The Mistake" will take them and that isn't very far...
You haven't heard someone refer to them as Donkies?! That's like saying you haven't heard of their coach be referred as a "rat face."
Do I believe in Voodoo, maybe. How else would you explain the roll that ATL is on?!

I think if we played Denver this year in the playoffs it will be far more challenging than the past two years but Im not looking that far ahead we
still have the Jags, Seattle and San Diego that we have to deal with
and those are some pretty tough challenges indeed I mean how the
hell are we going to stop LT and Shaun Alexander sheez is there a way
of stopping those badasses?

No, you couldn't be more wrong. They'll go as far as the running game takes them. You should know about the running game since the Falcons use the exact same system. It was developed by your part time Oline coach and Shanahan. The Falcons' recent history is absolutely riddled with Denver castoffs. Dan Reeves being the most notable of the bunch. It sure was fun watching him get his ass kicked in XXXIII.

I've heard it all from Raider fans and Chiefs fans. I guess I can include you in that group now. It's cute, in a gradeschool kind of way.

Exactly. Losing three of their last four, sitting at 7-5 and closing out against three of the toughest teams in the NFC. 8-8 and out of the playoffs is a near certainty.

From where I'm sitting, I would certainly hope so. :D

Manning will shred the SD secondary and LT will be relegated to blitz pickup and a couple of screen passes. Jags are lacking O. Seattle looks to be the toughest they'll face.

I'm wouldn't mind if Indy gets the undefeated season. It'd be nice to shut the '72 Dolphins up.

I just don't "like" the Broncos period...
Yeah, they run the ball, but they have a new starter every week it seems like... I don't like Jake... He's very vanilla like Kerry Collins....
I'd rather watch a Crush Game than a Broncos game...
I can't take away their winning record though.:D
As far, as ATL is concerned, I think they will take the Saints, The Panthers at Home, The Bucs at Tampa, I think the Bears will be the challenge. Just run the ball... I think more with Vick than Dunn or Duckett...
