Band #6 is confirmed.

Awesome! I've head about this band, but I haven't heard anything from this band until now (mp3s). Killer melodic power metal!!!

I'll be stoping at Impulse on my way to SA at Chicago HOB to pick up their discs!

Yet another discovery Glenn has made for me!

Good timing too. I've been dying to hear something new from anyone for the last couple of months. Not a whole lot of new releases lately. The Thunderstone isn't new in terms of it's release date, but a new band for me to listen to (and three discs at that!). Can't wait until February for US realeases by Jorn, Bloodbound, Pyramaze, and Vanden Plas (although I think this one has been pushed back a bit).

Coolness! You're really blowing that predictable tag right out of the water!
Let me guess there's going to be 12 bands this year? Either that, or by the time the last are announced, this place will be worked up into a frenzy!
:hypno:

Yeah.. not sure who to compare them with. They used to be compared to Stratovarious... but I guess their style has changed over time to be farther from them.

Personally, they remind me a bit of Conception. *shrug*

Glenn,

How do you rank their 3 CDs for those unfamiliar with their catalog?

In reverse order:

1. Tools of Destruction
2. The Burning
3. Thunderstone

I think the newest one has more of a Masterplan vibe than Stratovarius.

I have not heard (or read) the word "goober" in at least a decade. That word made my day.
I called you a goober in the Michael's room last year(sometime around the time someone made a penetration with a beer bottle):OMG:
