Band covering SX

You should like it for what it is, not dislike it for what it's not. Big deal the singer has too much vibrato, he still kicked ass.

I should.

But sadly, I can't.

the singer had good tone, but he couldn't get nearly as high as russel allen.

the keyboards sounded good to me

the guitarist seems good, but he was having trouble with tempo on some solos, and that first solo in candlelight... bah

drums didn't cut it...

bass was good enough anyway...

overall though a good show, obviously no match for symphony x but good effort.

If they'd been a match for S.X, they would not waste time with covering that much S.X. songs. I find them promising BTW... (And most probably they would be a lot better in time)

You guys are really tough to please! The singer couldn't get high notes, but on the rest of the stuff, he kicked ass - he really nailed "Out of the Ashes." Also, that guitarist could probably school half the guys on the forum.

Does that render their opinions invalid? If we all had to be as good as SX to critique SX then absolutely ZERO of us could open our mouths. So, when a band posts a performance online, they should be open to both positive and negative feedback. The musical prowess of the viewer(s) is beyond irrelevant.

I think it's very good covering! This singer is cool.

Hah! That fotage is better than any fotage of SX i've ever seen on the web lol, not counting the gigantour stuff...
