So which one rocked you out the most?

I say Edguy (Even though they might not be touring next year, they could come), I mean from what I've read (too sad I couldn't fricking go), Edguy had the crowd going wild!!!!

Very true and a good rule as well.

With that said there are a couple bands from PPUSA2 that I think would be good to see again.

Kamelot
Evergrey

SX would be good but I think that people will get a chance to see them all over on the their tour with Blind Guardian and the upcoming Strato tour. Besides if you give them an off year that would mean that they could be at the PPUSA5 with Angra :D

Shreddy

np DSG demos

Yeah Silent Force was good. I picked up one of their CDs purely baised on how they played that night. That was one bad ass cover they did of JP.

Anybody but Edguy.

C'mon man, that's just laughable! Ask 100 people at this year's show and I'd wager than nearly 95 of them would say they were very impressed with Edguy. The placed ROCKED, hands down, the loudest of ANY band's performance.

Or were you too busy standing out in the lobby drooling on the InsideOut merch table? :D

I bet you had already made your mind up that you were going to hate Edguy before they even came on stage. Your loss.

Oh well, at least the comforting part is that you're in the minority. :D

Somebody tell me why Edguy wasn't a headliner? I think they're at least on the same level as a band as Angra, and far above Pain of Salvation........and then Edguy's set totally kicked everyone else's ass!!!! I think to make up for them not being a headliner this year they should be allowed to come back as one next year, screw the no back to back rule! (no offense Glenn) I would have given anything to see them for another half hour last Friday!!!!!

I keap reading that Edguy was the very best. I have to wonder were you people were, was it the very front? I was setting were I could see most of the venue during both days and Edguy didn't rock the place more than Angra, gamma Ray or BG. Hell, he had to prod the venue to get a good reaction out them. BG, Gamma Ray, and Angra got that reaction with no extra work. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed there set. The little hip thing they all did together was funny, and so was the fuck song. They played their songs really well and were very entertaining.

IronPlant, I have to disagree with you. I was dead-center, 2nd-to-last row of the seated area (which means I could clearly see the ENTIRE venue), and Edguy rocked the place like NO ONE else, and only Gamma Ray came close.

I distinctly remember looking around and getting goose bumps at the reaction they were getting, and being so happy for them since they were such fantastic guys as well. Blind Guardian came nowhere near their reaction with MOST of the crowd. Like I said, Gamma Ray came very close, but by the time Angra came on, most people were past the point of exhaustion.

Agreed - although GR and Angra got a good singalong, it was not even close to the animated reponse that Edguy got from 99% of the audience. I was sitting with Markgugs and we had the view of every corner of the arena.

Seeing Edguy reminded me of what it was like to see Maiden in the mid-80's. This is what metal is all about!

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO What kind of rule is that??? Is it so that people won't get bored or something?

YES, THAT IS A NEW RULE MADE BY GLENN HIMSELF, IT'S FOR OUR OWN GOOD....YOU KNOW THAT OLD SAYING....SOMETHING ABOUT 'TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING'...

Agreed Dave. I love Glenn's push to bring in both top groups and more obscure bands, as well as avoid ones that are already touring. It really gives us a look at other talent in the industry.
