It's because Edguy is not as well known as Blind Guardian or others(Which doesn't mean that they're not as good)

Seeing Edguy reminded me of what it was like to see Maiden in the mid-80's. This is what metal is all about!

I love Edguy, and I think this argument is quite subjective depending on who YOU personally like more and your vantage point at the show, but I thought BG and GR had a more AUTOMATIC response from the audience than Edguy. Part of that was from people being more familiar with GR and BG, I mean, the entire place singing every chorus of every Guardian song and every word of the Bard's Song...that was unmatched. But then, Blind GUardian is one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME, and while i love em, Edguy is not. And perhaps they reminded you of maiden so much because Tobias cops so many of Dickenson's moves and vocal aspects . Heheh...not that that's a BAD thing...
