Somebody tell me why Edguy wasn't a headliner? I think they're at least on the same level as a band as Angra, and far above Pain of Salvation........and then Edguy's set totally kicked everyone else's ass!!!! I think to make up for them not being a headliner this year they should be allowed to come back as one next year, screw the no back to back rule! (no offense Glenn) I would have given anything to see them for another half hour last Friday!!!!!

It's because Edguy is not as well known as Blind Guardian or others(Which doesn't mean that they're not as good)

Hey guy, it's Glens event and his rules to make. It's ours though to pressure him into giving in to us. Edguy Rules!!!! We want, and need them back next year. Let's pick on Glen now. Im sure he's ready for that buy now. It's only been what, 3 days since the end of ProgPower III LOL. Give us our Edguy Glen.

Agreed - although GR and Angra got a good singalong, it was not even close to the animated reponse that Edguy got from 99% of the audience. I was sitting with Markgugs and we had the view of every corner of the arena.

Seeing Edguy reminded me of what it was like to see Maiden in the mid-80's. This is what metal is all about!

I love Edguy, and I think this argument is quite subjective depending on who YOU personally like more and your vantage point at the show, but I thought BG and GR had a more AUTOMATIC response from the audience than Edguy. Part of that was from people being more familiar with GR and BG, I mean, the entire place singing every chorus of every Guardian song and every word of the Bard's Song...that was unmatched. But then, Blind GUardian is one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME, and while i love em, Edguy is not. And perhaps they reminded you of maiden so much because Tobias cops so many of Dickenson's moves and vocal aspects ;). Heheh...not that that's a BAD thing...

Agreed Dave. I love Glenn's push to bring in both top groups and more obscure bands, as well as avoid ones that are already touring. It really gives us a look at other talent in the industry.
