Yeah only on the vocal tracks dude. I just sort of swept up until I found the point that I felt contained most of the bite in the vocals, and it happened to be around 3k.
I would say the powerful behind the mix is the kick drum being loud, and the bass. What makes the guitars sound so different between processed and un-processed is almost entirely the EQ dude.
