Band I Tracked. (Pop-punk Vox w/ Screaming)

thats pretty good. i wouldnt call the vocals bad at all. reminds me of Saosin. There's something with the clean vocals that doesn't seem as good as it could be. Im having trouble putting my finger on it. They almost seem a little too "angelic" and distanced in the mix. Atleast compared to the screams. It's almost like there is a veil over the cleans making it slightly unclear. My only recommendation would be to slightly clean up the cleans..maybe too much of a filter?

Just trying to be constructively critical. I think overall its really good. Just giving you my thoughts...

what is your recording set up? overall its real good.

I guess to sum up my critique of the vocals, maybe try more of a dry feel to the cleans as opposed to the wet sound. but if that is what you/the band wanted, I think you did well with it.

My set up:

Quad G5 Mac
002
Shure KSM27 through a Presonus Eureka Channel Strip (For vox. Cleans and Screams)
KRK Rockit 5's or whatever they are to monitor. LOL
Protools 7.4.2
Slate Drums
Superior Drums (only to blend snare)
Podfarm (Diamond Plate)

Gtr used to track this song was a Les Paul Standard with upgraded Seymour Duncans.
Bass was Standard Jazz bass.

Both going direct into the 002 inst. input, then ran into Podfarm as a plugin.
