recently i've realized that hatebreed is the absolute best music for lifting weights, however i've gone through all their albums so many times since its all i listen to when i work out, i was wondering if anyone knows of any bands that are similar? i guess the main thing is i like the vocals and the pounding chug guitars and the speed, i tried using last.fm to find other stuff and it gave me bands like chimaira and terror and throwdown and they just don't cut it.

Get stuff like Madball, Cro-mags, Blacklisted, Give Up The Ghost/American Nightmare, Hoods, Shipwreck, Down To Nothing, Outbreak, Sick Of It All, blablabla. ;o

Some slam death might do it (Devourment, Dripping, Soils of Fate, Meathook, etc), but it sounds like what you want is some hardcore.

I used to lift to Hatebreed but they got old quick. If you haven't heard Kingdom of Sorrow yet, check them out. It's Jamey along with members of DOWN.

You like Oingo Boingo. Shut up.

 true dat!

I guess what struck me was putting down one questionable* band for another. Like saying, "Screw Mary Manson, he sucks. Listen to Rob Zombie!".

*questionable to those who think they are too trve to listen to something that seem tied to non-metal or HC or whatever. I have no opinion on Hatebreed, and only a little on DD.

man, if terror doesnt cut it, perhaps you shouldnt be looking at hardcore. terror is waaaaaaaaay better than hatebreed
