Well, depends on what you mean by "can't put it all together". If you don't mind expanding it to -- "thinks they put it all together, but there is not really much there".

With that "expansion" in place, I would have to say the hands down winner is Emporer.

I'd have to go with Rotting Christ. They come up with great riffs and the vocalist is cool but they're just redundant and their songs are boring after only a couple of minutes.

The above bands are IMO not quite there in terms of songwriting and execution, i don't believe they have reached their peak in their careers yet, hopefully they will get it right later next album or later down the track. For the record, Månegarm is an example of a band that just overcome this problem after 3 average albums and released the fantastic Dödsfärd.

I don't see why you'd put Emperor in this category, it seems they covered all the ground that they could have.

Well, at the moment, I would put Metallica in this category. Lotsa talent, but no clue....

metallica - obviously the first 3 were masterpieces, but even ...and justice and black album had its moments. the loads were great alt rock album, but shitty metal albums if that's what they (metallica) wanted to call metal those days.

in flames - mainly becuase of reroute to remain, but we'll see after the next album, hoepfully, it will be a great album.

I really don't think Metallica has the talent anymore. They've forgotten the art of their craft and I don't think they could write a good album now if they tried. Were this a thread for fallen heroes, then Metallica would have been it.

Eh I'd agree with metallica aswell. Im happy with what they put out. But they couldve done better. I need another and justice for all in my lifetime or ill cry.

Tool- Theyve been around for how long? Atleast 12 yrs. With only 3 full length cd's. Need to come out with another cd pronto.

Metallica. ...And Justice For All is, to me, the PERFECT metal album. Whereas St Anger is mouldering, stinking pile of shite.
Even their fans have no talent and just continually post stupid unfunny replies to things.
