Hey, I'm trying to expand the number of great melodic metal bands out there, and I'm just wondering if you guys can help me, some of my favorite bands include... VEHEMENCE!, Iced Earth, In Flames, FALL OF EMPYREAN!, Vital Remains (I heard a few songs off of Dechristianize that kicked ass), Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth, Cradle of Filth is great!, Death, and not to mention... old Metallica.

Could you guys give me some ideas on some good bands I would probably like?

Scarve(Darkane meets SYL on crack),
Gardenian(most underated Swedish band around),
Nostromo(Very pissed off Thrash from Switzerland. Darkane meets a not so grindy Nasum).

Bands to dig in: MEGADETH There is no day, when I don't listen to them and they are my second all favs, right behind AC/DC

Do you only listen to older rock such as AC/DC or do you listen to newer Death Metal? You should start to get into more Death Metal. so you do not miss anything!

Nevermore, is a pretty bad ass band.They have this progressive razor hard hitting sound that you can feel. The vocals might sound to dramatic, but I rather see their singer than most trying to pull off those types of vocals.
