Indeed I like this sort of movies too...
I simply love Conan both the movies and the comics, its absolutly great.
Unfortunatly I dont have anything else to recommend to you, but you do know that the third Conan movie will be out next year, right?
The movie will have the title King Conan: Crown of Iron and will be set in the time after Conan has become king.
Playing in the roll of Conan is of course good, old Arnold
Im really looking forward to this!!!

Kill me if you will...cus I may be wrong, but is The Beastmaster tv series considered Barbarian? or Xena? Sorry...lol. I used to like to watch them sometimes.

that one i have to see at the cinema for the ultimate arnold-experience now when talking about barbarian movies there is suck and there's "suck", it's possible that kull sucks but i don't think it "sucks" if you get my meaning
I guess Xena could be considered a barbarian series if it was a bit more brutal and violent...all though it looks like it has become somewhat more violent now...I watched about a week ago and then she killed a tribe of amazones, and as far as I could recall she didnt kill people before...

ah kei, well i hope arnold realizes what a great movie it would be
i'll spread the link to everyone i know, and hopefully it will give us some true barbarian-action in a not to distant future
yes! may croms anger relentlessy smite those infidels that oppose the production of this grand movie!
well as aggressor said xena may try to be a barbarian but she is not barbaric enough
i mean she doesn't even use her sword she just slaps her foes and then kicks them. that's what it was like the last time i watched an episode, but perhaps it has changed, i better watch next time to make sure i don't miss any barbarian-action yes i've heard of beastmaster but i haven't been able to get my hands on any episodes

You know, the first time I read that, was knowing that Arnold said it would never be done! I just re-read this... wow... can't wait!

Two battleing studios almost saw this movie going straight to the can but it seems like things have worked out. I heard a rumor that they'd try cast someone like "the rock" as conan's son. I haven't seen scorpion king so i wouldn't know what to expect. I would've thought conans son would be a bit more, Nordic and viking like though.

Hmm he doesnt fit the role of Conn at all...
As you said he doesnt look very Nordic, as the Cimmerians should.
In the comics Conn looks quite a bit like Conan, and I cant really see the resembelanse between Arnold and the Rock

he cant't be conan son, that would be an outrage on all that is conan and barbaric! yes he needs to be nordic as aggressor said, perhaps someone like this? he is one of the strongest men in sweden and if he's not viking/barbaric enough then who is?
perhaps his acting skills aren't the greatest but that could be solved with a good story.he could avoid saying anything at all if he perhaps as a child was taken from conan and his tongue was cut off by some evil enemy of conan, that conan later killed and now, the evil ones son now comes and wants to kill both conan and conans son, and perhaps he could have a great artefact that gives him superhuman strength so ha can battle both conan and his son.
then in the final battle, conan could be killed and when the evil one is about to kill conans son, the lo behold!, down from the sky comes conan and his wife (have forgotten her name i'm afraid) and together the three slay the evil one and destroys the even more evil artefact.
how about that?
hehe thanks i guess, not that barbarian-scripts are the most complex, the key-word is revenge, payback seems to be essential for any barbarian
