I just picked up a used LTD viper baritone guitar.

It kicks much ass! I have been playing 7 strings for years, but always struggled with tension and tuning/intonation issues.

The baritone seems to be rid of all these issues! So Now Im considering replacing the neck on my ibanez rg7321 with a warmoth baritone 7 string neck.

Im pretty sure that replacing the neck should be sufficient enough, but I got thinking that the distance of the bridge from the neck may also be a factor.

are there any other things I should be careful of, or consider when choosing the right neck, and installing it?

thanks sneapstaz :headbang:

If you buy a longer neck, you will have to move the bridge down also, since the scale is increasing.

Yeah, unfortunately Liam it's not as easy as just extending the neck, the bridge has to be shifted back for proper intonation

but on another note, the new baritone is uber comfortable. I find it a bit easier to do fast alternate picking and pinch harmonics on the extended scale (because the distance from the bridge to the neck is larger)
