Bass plugged in a guitar amp

tried it often, bass thru a 4 x 12 cab with V30's.
never blew a speaker with it.

with a 100 watt tube guitaramp on a 280 watt closed back cab, i don't think you can hurt much... otherwise you could ruin the speakers with oktavers and fuzzes too when using a normal or downtuned guitar, a bass wouldn't be any heavier on the speakers then that.

guitarspeakers won't give much lows, + in a closed cab they are protected against much cone excursion by the air in the cabinet, since those cabs are airtight, the speaker can't move too much, speakers in an open back or ported cab would be more fragile for those low freq's
