I recently got Virtual Bassist. But i can't even program my own bass ! only pre played bass licks.

So im trying to find nice sounding bass vst's. I already have distorsion bass from Reason 3 but not really glad with it.

anyone know some others ?

Damn, Gavin. I'm listening to some demos of that bass library, and all I can say is shit! :kickass: I'm just gonna get this instead of stressing about trying to find a bassist for now.:heh:

Look to manual.
Virtual Bassist has a keyswitches, who switch random playing styles-from slap,to finger etc,and-a method of soundpicking-loops or singlenotes.
I dont remember now,but-look to manual-there whould be scheme of these switches(as i remember, singlenotes for any playing style located 3 octaves up from its original placement-etc-D1-D3 and so on)
About best bass vst-there is a 2,i like myself-Spectrasonics Trilogy,and EastWest HardcoreBass
Plus-IkMultimediaAmpegSVX-makes you Bass-Happy =)))

Single Notes are you sure ?

I have the HardcoreBass vst. It's a bitch to get it sounding natural. On its own it sounds very fake unless you've got some mad skillz at programming it, but in a mix it sounds killer. The tones you can get out of it are sick!

Diblan. i found the single note stuff etc. but in piano roll it's only like 5 notes ? and then sometimes it just plays funk licks again and stuff.

Are you sure i can program single notes from 3 octaves ?
if so plzz help me further cause virtual bassist sounds so damn good.

Ok i will try it out today.

btw your russian ? my steph mom is russian:

Спасибо !!!! Спасибо за Совет !!

Spectrasonics Trilogy is pretty good as well, I've found Trilogy sounds more realistic, but doesn't distort as well as Hardcore Bass does. Depends what you want, maybe you could use both. Trilogy for where you have a bass only section, and Hardcore Bass for a nice distorted bass under your guitars.
