bassstrings: pro steel?

They sound great for straight DI's. I really do love these strings.
Regarding an early comment, I've got them on two 5 strings and a 6 and I really love the B. All of those basses are 35" scale but I think they sound great.

These sound great indeed. Any info on the bass used?
If I remember correctly you were always a fan of Warwick strings in the past. How do you think these compare?

BTW is the low B always tapered on these sets and can anyone answer this question:

Anyone know whether these will fit on a Warwick bridge (very little space for the string ends on the bridge side)?

Well my set is a tapered .130 for the low b and then a light set .105-.45, both in long scale. Stainless steel strings make a big difference in tone when you first change. My DIs sound way better now, also the 130 is doing a lot better than the 120 that was on there before. my 5 string is tuned like the lower 5 strings of a guitar in drop b tuning, and the balance of the 130 is trying to even out the tension. If you go to daddario.com they have the sets there and the individual string gauges pretty easily visable. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
George.

thank you very much! :)

cheers

unfortunately it's not tapered. I had to clip some of the saddle-spring off to get the saddle far enough back to intonate the instrument.
it is a neck through LTD with EMG pickups..

muddy?
bollicks, it's just mid-heavy.....wait until it's reamped through the ampeg ;)

And listening to the clips, I honestly kinda prefer the Avalon one, to me the 610/comp. one sounds a bit fartier

yeah, the 610 I used to get more grit (driven HEAVILIY) with some limiting on it.
the DI used for reamping will be the avalon, the 610 will be used to supply some solid low-end/lowmids
