Beat Detective problem!

Hey guys,

I bought a 003 rack around a year ago and I'm currently using it with LE 8, after reading all the drum editing threads ive been wanting to use beat detective. Apparantly LE comes with beat detective as standard but for the last few weeks I have searched everywhere in pro tools but i cant find it, tried the shortcuts and everything.

The dongle with my 003 came with sound replacer and all that but no beat detective.

So basically I was just wondering if im missing something in my pro tools, meaning ill have to try and buy the full version of BD if i want to use it.

Sorry if this is a stupid question ive just been getting extremely frustrated and couldnt find any answers on the forum.

LE8 comes with a single-track version of BD, which you can bring up by pressing Cmd+8 (on the numpad) or from the menu: Event - Beat Detective.

Single-track BD is quite limited in terms of drum editing, though. You can get the multitrack version with the MPTK for LE8, or rather by upgrading to PT9 which is $249.
