i like the original Gibson flying v's. these esp, jackson, etc. pointy end impostors are gay and lying. also, they're impossible to play sitting down. some times you wanna sit on your ass and play, but cant do that with a v or rhodes. i had a rhodes in high school, i liked it but got kinda tired of certain things about it, also kinda buzzed so i sold it some other guy in guitar class who used to drool over it all the time.

I very much dislike the flying v. Very uncomfortable, and just overall annoying. Doesn't look that great either.

Give me an SG any day.

I like V's, but hate Gibson. Just like Les Pauls are my favorite guitar, but not when made by Gibson.

In short, Gibson is overpriced shit. You can get a guitar with better playability, sound, and reliability for half the price of any given Gibson. Assuming you even take the time to play them and root out the lemons, since their quality control is about as dependable as my sobriety.

Kay', sorry. I'm done now. Oh, and I see his V isn't a Gibson. Oh well.

After owning a Gibson Hummingbird, your opinion on Gibson being overpriced will change greatly. At least on the acoustic end.

Can't say much for the electric, as these days with realtime and post-processing effects, virtual amps, etc... you can make essentially any guitar sound like any other guitar. In the end, the raw sound of the electric guitar is disappearing so its all down to which guitar the user likes the feel of the most.

In general I found their acoustics to be much better than electrics.

I understand personal preference is a major factor, but when you can get solid body mahogony Les Paul knock offs with better sounding pickups, an ebony fret board, and actual metal tuning keys instead of plastic, much better playability, for about half of the price, theres no logical reason to get a Gibson.

It's not like this stuff is my opinion. Agile and Godin Les Pauls destroy every Gibson in their price range. I'm not trying to argue with you my my pals Eric, I'm just high and I really hate Gibson and always have to do this. Besides I didn't start it, Will did.
