Behringer: another rip off

Have you seen their Tubescreamer copy the TO800? It's not bad for £15 and it can be modded into a TS-808.
Yep, I have to admit that I'm a bit curious about it. What I heard wasn't bad.

a guitar tech i know took 1 apart and said it was horrible in every way... sound included.:yuk:

I once had a guitar tech tell me that he wouldn't fit EMG's because he thought they were "the worst sound he'd ever heard", go figure.

It's no worse than a Soundtank TS-5 or a new Tonelock TS-7, both of which cost around 3x as much.

Apparently the sound of the pedals themselves isn't too shabby.. but most gear heads custom build a proper casing that won't break on them and simply move the circuitry over.

.....and then people don't look at them like dumb asses for using a Behringer pedal :p

That's classic...my tech is truly a whiz at all things guitar related, and he'd have no problem setting anything up to my specs, but the things we like are drastically different. He hates EMG's, doesn't even like overdrive on amps that much, prefers really high action, etc...

Yep!
49 eur here, but I heard good things about another ts808 clone: digitech badmonkey, the price is 70 eur.
I got a very good OD9 by maxon, I may need something like an overdrive with more gain (i don't like distortion pedals), cause OD9 works great with higain amp, I mean something for boosting a vintage amp would be good.
