Mixcubes are not crappy, they're frequency limited but superb in the time domain and obviously don't have any crossover or port smearing issues.

I use a single Mixcube constantly and wouldn't be without it. I also have a pair of very cheap Altecs (I mean like £20 cheap) that do the crappy thing - but rarely fire them-up because they sound crappy.

The Mixcube PSU is indeed massive, it sits on the floor behind the desk and doesn't cause me any stress at all.

SOS review of the Behritones here - I'd certainly invest a few minutes to read it before buying - Mike Senior who wrote the review is worthy of respect whether you agree with his opinions or not.
