2010 has been a good year, but 2009 definitely topped it IMO. I'm still waiting on my copies of the new Electric Wizard & Deathspell Omega so those could replace something, but here is a tentative top 15:

It's certainly not brilliant, but I'm curious as to how you can justify such a negative view of it.
I'm to fucking OLD SCHOOL to know what's going on in 2010. When you've been here since 03 you gotta keep it fuckin old school. Show all the noobs and shit how it is to be metal as fuck and just pure Old School, down for life.
Agreed, 2009 and 2008 were both superior regarding releases' quality. I also need to check the new Electric Wizard.

I see no one has mentioned the new Abigail Williams or Nachtmystium. I really enjoyed the new Nachtmystium when it came out but i dont think it quite makes my top ten list.

In my opinion, that Howling Wind album doesn't come close to The Howling Void's 2010 release, Shadows Over the Cosmos. That's a fucking epic, dark record.

I have no idea how one can list 50 best albums in one year. Have you given each and every one of them enough spins to actually get a mature impression of every single record? I could never do that. Thats about one aalbum each week and thats only whats on your top 50. If you can list 50 best albums how many did you listen to in total?

What the fuck kind of argument is this? Someone has to listen to a single album for a week to give themselves a "mature impression" (a nebulous, poorly defined concept if I've ever seen one, that's for sure) of it? I think you need to remove the stick from your ass, dude.
