hello everyone...i've got an rme fireface 800 but i'm not statisfied of my guitar sound trough DI box of the soundcard... i'm asking you what's your advice for take the best DI guitar sound? sorry for my bad english..
how long is the instrument cable from guitar to di/fireface? if its shorter or equal to 3 meters there shouldnt be need for an di box in your case (since the impedance of the instrumen in on the fireface should be pretty much ok with guitars...)
a di box is used to prevent noise (interfering signals) at big lenght (greater than 3 meters?) of instrument cable or to match impedances
take this advice with a grain of salt cuz im a noob at recording mixing.
