Darkthrone, by a mile, followed by Dark Moor and then Dark Angel. The others I either don’t know or am not fond of.

It’s pretty obvious why you’d pick Dark Angel but really Darkthrone and Dark Angel are the only ones worth picking.

I’ve said this before, but I’d like Darkness Descends much more with a better vocalist. I don’t find Don to sound anywhere near as unhinged as he should do to match the music on the record. It’s an 8/10 album for me. Meanwhile ABitNS is 10/10.

Voted Dark Angel but if I had an option between never hearing them again, or never hearing Dark Age's EP again, I'd probably pick the former.

Dark Millennium is better than most of the other bands on the poll as well.

Yes, and I think Archaic Visions is a worthy endeavour as well. Although it's not as brilliantly unhinged, it wields a different sort of power in its relentlessly bleak emptiness. It was a wise move not to attempt to replicate the atmosphere of its predecessor.

It's been way too long since I last listened to In Jerascunta in full. I burnt myself out on it pretty quickly back then. Can't even remember if I listened to Archaic Visions properly when it was released.
