for the most part, so do i. i rarely listen to DM, and i cant find a band (new or old) that i can fully get into anymore.
if i looked at my dm CDs, my top 3 would be Morbid Angel, The Chasm, and Edge of Sanity.

yeah i really never got into DM besides the melodic death stuff (with the most brutal being ATG hahaha). i haven't ever bought a real death metal album sans Nile's latest, and that doesn't interest me at all even though I think it's good.
edit: actually I got really into Death, so that counts. Yeah J, check them out. Amazing band... I found the Live in L.A. DVD yesterday under a chair in my room and relived its serious glory.

Exactly the same with me. I have little interest in death metal at all unless it is at least a bit melodic. I do like stuff like Bolt Thrower and DM era Aeternus, but that stuff at least has a bit of a groove to it. Brutal death metal does nothing for me, I just find it totally goofy.

If Infester, Rottrevore, Incantation, and Immortal are brutal death, then that's what I like, other than that I don't.

I picked Altars of Madness, though Covenant is probably one of the best DM albums ever created.
Also, how can you be lacking Scream Bloody Gore? It's not that good at all (Leprosy destroys it), but neither was that Possessed album and it's still legendary.

I'd probably add Fleshcrawl to my clicked bands if I did it again. Probably drop Carcass down a few notches mainly because I rarely listen to it anymore.
