Pretty much all of my favourite death metal albums are from that year. Slumber of Sullen Eyes, The Karelian Isthmus, ...In Pains, Descend into the Absurd, Changes, Beyond Sanctorum. I can't really say which one is a clear favourite. I guess I'll vote for ...In Pains as nobody voted for it yet.

yeah agreed on DM's best year and almost arguably metal's best year, even if there was nothing else released!

ive tried to track down cartiliage for yonks & never found it .... clearly im missing out.
