Which album do you think has the best drum sound?

Where's St. Anger?
Haven't paid particular attention to the drum sound so guess I won't comment on that...

I chose My Arms, Your Hearse. I really, really love the way the drums sounded on that album. The bass drum sounds very thick if you will. Maybe tight is the proper words, but I always thought of that kind of bass drum sound to be thick. The snare sounds really nice as well and the cymbals stand out for me as well. I'm thinking of the hi-hat's on When during the closed/chokeed hi-hats during the one part.

I used to dislike the double bass sound on deliverance but now i love it. the drumming on that album is so forward in the mix, i prefer it by far to the drumsound on bwp and similar albums.

Yeah, I really adore the drums on Damnation. Orchid and Morningrise have nice drum sound to them as well.

Deliverence. Drumming is phenomonal, although the rest of the album ain't so crash hots.

Deliverance had corking drumming indeed.. and I don't care for that album very much..

the St. Anger snare does indeed own though

Damnation has an amazing drum sound. Right from the start on Windowpane, it always sounds so clean.

I think the snare on St. Anger fucking sucks. It sounds like he's beating the bottom of a trash can.

i chose damnation because the sound is so natural, so old(the breath of the 70s)

Deliverence has the best drum sound. IMO it is the most difficult and sounds so natural. Damnation was close behind.
