I actually enjoyed Jugulator aside from a few filler tracks. Yet again, most Priest albums had plenty of filler.

Painkiller always wins these polls, which is lame. It is nowhere as good as the '70s material.

...in your opinion.

I have to go with Painkiller. I just really love that album. After that, Screaming for Vengeance. However, Hell Bent For Leather, Stained Class, British Steel, and Sad Wings Of Destiny are all great albums. ANgel Of Retribution is pretty good too. I haven't heard Sin After Sin, Turbo, or Defenders Of The Faith, sad to say.

I'm gonna throw this out there: Jugulator is the worst.

I'm surprised Screaming For Vengeance has so many votes. It's a good album and all that, but I think it's kinda overrated. It has a little too much filler, tbh.

The best Judas Priest official album wasn't listed in the poll, it's Unleashed in the East. The best Judas Priest on disc is the 1982 live in Memphis/Screaming for Vengeance tour video that was re-released with the Metalogy box set but that's not a CD so I guess it wouldn't belong in the poll. Judas Priest songs are always much better live, they seem to over-process everything in the studio, and the '82 vid captured them at their peak.

Sad Wings of Destiny gets my vote, I've had so many drunken good times listening to it with my friends. My second choice would have to be british steel, so many of JP's hits came from that CD, so I find it great party music.

agreed but i still voted for painkiller lol. i prefer the 70's stuff. a lot of the 80's stuff sounds too cliched. i also prefer both ripper albums over angel of retribution

No contest for me - Screaming For Vengeance, I love every track on that album.
Defenders of the Faith and British Steel would be next in line.
I don't get the hype about Painkiller, it's a good album, but it's far from my favourite.
