No contest for me - Screaming For Vengeance, I love every track on that album.
Defenders of the Faith and British Steel would be next in line.
I don't get the hype about Painkiller, it's a good album, but it's far from my favourite.

the hype about painkiller was priest had gone very commercial with the couple of albums before it and then all the sudden they released real metal again. before painkiller people were saying they are too old and stuff and they proved them wrong

Not at all. I'm completely serious. "Cathedral Spires" alone shits all over anything Halford has ever done.

Trend jumping eh, I'd prefer to call it "updating their sound" - whatever you wish to call it, Priest do it well.

Thanks for bringing this up. I never got into JP & I haven't heard very much of their stuff through the years. I gave Painkiller a DL & this shit is fucking awesome! I will have to look into them more.

Yet again, you have to at least enjoy glam to like Turbo, and not many people here like glam at all.

i like glam and the album turbo but i'm not surprised it has 0 votes. by glam or priest standards its pretty weak. i can believe ram it down has 0 votes because i think thats the worst priest album ever except for blood red skies and the title track

Turbo defiently had it's cheesy moments, and the synths are kinda hard to stomach at first (though I liked them), but if you give the album a chance, it'll grow on you. Turbo Lover, Locked In, Hot For Love, and Reckless rather if you like 'em or not, are all classic songs in their own right.

And as for Ram It Down, I do agree. It is one of their weaker albums, though it's still better than Point of Entry, in my humble opinion.
