Best Katatonia concert you've been

I've never seen Katatonia live. Hopefully they will come to the U.S. soon, & hopefully they will be somewhere around the Midewest.
 
The best Katatonia -concert i've been was early this year.
It was in Turku, Finland. They played a lot of new songs from
Tonigth's decision and LFDGD. A few from Discouraged ones
and the last song was the last song from BMD!!!:heh:
Growling and all that shit. It was GREAT!!!
And what is so special about that concert is that it was my first
Katatonia -concert.:grin:

and I don't even believe that my dream will ever come true...
once it was close...but....
back then i was to be a "bigger" fan of katatonia... imagine my desperation......
anyway........this is what happens with most of the bands I really go nuts about; I never get to see them live :waah:

Oh,Transparent and Godisanathiest you're so lucky....

thanks, i'll be sure to shout out for you :) , but who would believe my luck, Katatonia in June (this year) and now again. hey Melancholia, maybe you could go on holiday to Holland or Germany next year around the time Dynamo is starting or the Turku one. i hope that after their next album release sales go up in Greece and it will force them to goover there. :)
 
it will be the concert in Paris the 13rd November, because i never saw them

i can't wait : Katatonia, Opeth and Novembre the same day !
probably the best show i 'll see this year :)
 
I'll be there too, the same day...I just don't want to think about it because I'm too afraid it could be cancelled. I've been waiting for it for so long that it feels strange in a way to know it will finally happen...

yeah i hop there wont be a cancelation to the tour either. :confused: , lets just keep our fingers crossed.

Okay... this is my first post on this board so be gentle if I screw something up. :)

Anyways... I saw Katatonia at the 2000 Milwaukee Metalfest, with Opeth 30 minutes afterward, and it was absolutely the best concert experience I've... experienced. I know some people thought the vocals were off, but it didn't matter, because there was just a ton of feeling the entire show. It was amazing. And then Opeth knocked me out.

Setlist wise... they opened with For My Demons and closed with Endtimes. It's been awhile, but I remember them playing I Am Nothing... Saw You Drown... Had To (Leave)... damn, I can't think of any others. But it was a hell of a show. For My Demons, Saw You Drown, and Endtime were absolutely brilliant.

Well....this wasn't so easy... I'm not that rich lately...and well,it is not so easy for a 21 year old girl to travel ALONE to a country she's never been before just for the Katatonia gig...
Not to mention the fact that i can't speak a word of Turkish...

I have seen them once :) so it is their best concert for me
In Istanbul on June 8 and June 9,2000 both of them are wonderful but they played better in the first one.They played Deadhouse,Cold Ways,Chrome,Teargas,Tonight's music,Sweet nurse,Don't tell a soul,For my demons,I am nothing,Right into the bliss,Strained,Stalemate,Passing bird and ENDTIME and maybe Saw you drown

im with nevershine, i was in turku also and later in summer they played in helsinki, in tuska open air metal festival. turku was a lot better, there was more feeling, small club, lots of ppl... great.

and melancholia, you really should visit finland some time, it can be very depressing and melancholy here, especially during the winter, of course, if you like :)
 
depends on whats looking for
helsinki will do, most gigs are here at least, though im moving to get "a better touch with nature" or something ...
