The only book I think I've read this year that came out this this year is Porno by Irvine Welsh. Great book if you liked Trainspotting.
Probably the best best book I've read all year is God Bless You, Dr. Kervorkian by Kurt Vonnegut, with Choke by Chuck Palaniuk in a close second.

The best album: Eels/Souljacker
Other good albums were Weezer/Maladroit, Hamell On Trial/Mercuroyale, Rise Above (West Memphis Three benefit album), and Nappy Roots/Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz.

The best movie: Brotherhood of the Wolf
This movie was actually released last year as Le Pacte Des Loups, but didn't make it over to the states until this year. This movie is very surprising, difficult to classify and very good. The visuals are incredible and the story combines suspense, horror, action, and martial arts set in 18th century France. It's actually based on true events. Other than that I really enjoyed Spiderman and Attack of the Clones (of course).

About the only show I watch with any regularity is Alias. Great fucking show and very addictive....

Now THERE'S a list. I would have those, as well as Sealab 2021 and Home Movies, also on adult swim.

Best movie and album? Die Another Day, and Wages of Sin.

That movie looked really good in commercials but this is actually the first review I've seen of it. I think I'll check it out next time I'm in Hollywood video.
