I don't have anything approaching a list, but I keep giggling at Cruciamentum for their stupid name. I was calling them Chrysanthemum the whole time at RoD, which got a laugh about 80% of the time.

The Vektor album does rule. I didn't keep up this year, but that one jumped out.

You should check out The Atlas Moth's new one, too. It hits the ground running and smashes melody into your face nonstop without sounding cheesy at all. Worlds of improvement from A Glorious Piece of Blue Sky, which was pretty lame.
