Best Record Company

ON topic:

Currently, for me, either IHate Records (former home of Tpog (www.tpog.be), home of Isole, Centurions Ghost - and most of my favourite new releases last year)

or Listenable records, who seem to have quietly assembled loads of fucking great bands, despite being *shudder* French.

Roadrunner may have got my vote once, but that was when they were called Roadracer.

On games:

You're all fools. Sega, of course: Virtua Fighter franchise > all over fighting games. (Even SF2, note the Sagat avatar).

Current System: 360, obviously, though my *ahem* modified xbox1 120gb hd model is rather sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet too.

It looks silly and immature. It's another kiddy game system, which is all well and good, but I have no interest in it.

Have you not seen Red Steel, Sadness, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, etc.

The system is bound to NOT be a kiddie system, sure of course there will be games like Super Mario Galaxies and what not but it is shaping out to have some nice titles that will not be "kiddie", plus the third party support is fucking there.

On Topic: Another favorite is Inside Out.

Candlelight,peaceville,century media.

These labels seem to have my favorite cds or re-release great older metal albums.

question answer 1: earache, candlelight, nuclear blast

question answer 2: sony because they have kickass fighting games (though microsoft has halo [the greatest game ever created by humans])

and this one is for YiXiN: are you a coc-monger do you enjoy the taste of manparts of all the slipknot members in your mouth? (the only good band in roadrunner and i mean good enough to even be recognised on these forums is opeth...now go away and hide like a n00b)

HALO = :kickass:

Roadrunner has some decent bands but they still have all the Nu Metal crap.

NY Dolls are signed to RR. I didn't know that.

Hard to Say. Maby Megaforce cause they have/had a lot of old school thrash metal bands. Then there's Combat and Roadrunner/Roadracer (back in the day). Century Media is good but Ill go with Megaforce.

I'm with Carcassian on this one (although I still think Willowtip rule) - Listenable have been putting out some fucking great stuff over the last yar and a half or so.

do you know of any other good grind labels?

I don't see how a system is lacking maturity. It is bringing innovation to the playing table, and unless that is somehow ... kiddy, then I guess I'll have to just love kiddie shit again. Or if you mean the name ...

And the Nintendo Wii ftw.

Xbox and PS3 have great graphics but in the long run its just gonna be the same crap weve seen hundreds of times before, just a little fancier looking. Have fun playing the same FPS games you've played for the last 10 years with nothing but flashier graphics that won't even be impressive in another 4 years... and paying a fucking fortune for it.

The Wii is actually taking a step forward instead of just beefing up the graphics. Even Sony saw this and tried to rip off their idea for the controller, but aren't even close on that. If Nintendo pulls off what they're shooting for, its going to definitely be the greatest of the new systems in terms of fun.

The GAMES are just as mature as the other systems, to a point, so I was wrong, because I did not bring the games into account.

So there.

Thats the exact reason why I brought up the subject in the first place I even stated it in the post.
Don't generalize over the label, it's all up to the band.

Not really, tbh - most of the best grind bands are on either Relapse or Razorback.... there's some good if somewhat unoriginal/samey brutal death on the Unique Leader roster, though.

I wish Slap A Ham was still active.
