Best song to demonstrate people what depression is / means?

Whilst the night rejoices profound and still by Current 93. Its not a metal song at all, but I tell ya if you can sit through this song without getting a little teary eyed, than you must be a rather upbeat person. However I'm not so this is one of the most depressing songs I've ever heard.

Not that I want to listen to anything at all when I'm depressed (unless it's the monotonous drone of an air conditioner or refrigerator), but these songs seem to embody extreme melancholia:

Katatonia:

For Funerals To Come
Deadhouse
Last Resort
I Am Nothing
Tonight's Music
Inside The City Of Glass

October Tide:

Infinite Submission
Losing Tomorrow

Ulver: Porn Piece or The Scars Of Cold Kisses

Sergei Rachmaninov: Symphony No. 2, 1st Movement (Largo)

Other:

Mad World from the "Donnie Darko" soundtrack, originally by Tears For Fears

"And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had..."

hm, don't forget that depression is an illness. I know a few people that have depressions and I think when you have depressions music is not really interesting for you / doesn't play an important role in your life.
I don't think that anyone from the KAtatonia members suffers depression, nor I think the fans do.
But when you call it "Sad music" I'd vote for "Black Session".

I think, depression is not an illness, but a natural-, from time to time returning period of some people's life. Illness: only when it endures too long, and so it ends in itself...

Most depressive track for me: "Sulfur"

do you really think that depression is a natural period in some people's life?..i don't think that the depression leaves and then comes back, for me this is more constant state and the gleams of an equipoise are really very rare and artificial..
