Best Song You Ever Discovered from a commercial

I heard Little Fluffy Clouds on a VW Bug commercial, but only picked up the Orb by chance sometime later.

Oh yeah, and the H2 is one of the gayest fucking vehicles I've ever seen, but Filter rules. :loco:

Yeah, I only had the first two albums, and I knew the song wasn't on those, and I had forgotten that they released another album amidst all of the good metal.

Well, I've never discovered a song I liked thanks to a commercial, but that Nissan campaign from a few years back sure did remind me of just how much The Cult's "She Sells Sanctuary" rocks my world.

the only one I can think of is that song from the Nike commercial by The Verve. It was also used at the end of Cruel Intentions. I think the Rolling Stones originally wrote it though. It was OK the first few times on the radio but then got old.

Was that really "a few years back"? Damn, where does the time fly? I thought I saw that just the other week!

Sonic Temple > Nissan

"Bitter Sweet Symphony" was written by Mick & Keith. Yeah, it did get overused/played, but the album, Urban Hymns, is actually really good.

Sarah Michele Gellar in Cruel Intentions > Sarah Michele Gellar in Buffy

She did? That sucks. They probably should've gotten permission since it's kind of a lengthy sample, but sue? That's gay.

yeh. they took it off an episode of reading rainbow haha. with fuckin jordi from star trek haha. but yeh. i dunno if she won or not, just that she sued.

Many years ago there was an advert for Neurofen (a headache tablet) that pictured yarns of grey coloured material being layed out across a floor. The CAMERA (looking down) then pulls back to an aerial shot of the material to REVEAL a woman's face in agony. The soundtrack playing over this piece is the outro female vocals of PINK FLOYD's "Great Gig in the Sky." A brilliant advert.

Agree. Hearing Sarah say "I wanna fuck" was so hot.
No no! The best line was when she was on all fours and she told Ryan Phillipe that he could put it anywhere. I always knew she was a dirty slut ho. I think I'm in love. :loco:

Oh yeah, those girl-on-girl kisses in Central Park was history in the making, especially after Buffy says, "ok that one was good, but this time I want you to put your tongue in my mouth".
