What are in your educated opinions, the greatest thrash albums? I know many of you are well versed in thrash, and I'd like to increase my collection.

Best thrash albums...

Old School thrash:
Annihilator - Alice in Hell
Testament - The Legacy
Poltergeist - Behind My Mask
Sacrifice - Apocalypse Inside
Invocator - Excursion Demise
Nuclear Assault - Handle With Care
Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Forbidden - Twisted Into Form
Death Angel - Ultra-Violence
Coroner - Mental Vortex
Kreator - Coma of Souls
Destruction - Cracked Brain
Vendetta - Go and Live... Stay and Die
Heathen - Victims of Deception
Overkill - Years Of Decay

Modern Thash:
Testament - The Gathering
Exodus - Tempo Of The Damned
Annihilator - All for You / Schizo Deluxe
Overkill - Killbox 13
Kreator - Enemy of God
Invocator - Through The Flesh of The Soul
Nuclear Assault - Third World Genocide

Just for starters...

Megadeth: Killing is my Business, Peace Sells
Exodus: Pleasures of the Flesh, Impact is Imminent
Testament: New Order, Practice What You Preach
Overkill: Feel the Fire, Taking Over
Dark Angel: Darkness Descends
Vio-Lence: Eternal Nightmare, Oppressing the Masses
Metal Church: The Dark

Larf got a bunch of the good ones, but I disagree with the Bonded By Blood recommendation, its great and I love it but Exodus did much better albums.

You've probably heard of all the bands I posted, but if you want more obscure stuff then I'd try Holy Terror, Heretic, Sabbat (the UK Sabbat with Andy Sneap), and Artillery.

Pure Thrash, limiting to one per band:
Nasty Savage - Indulgence
Vio-lence - Eternal Nightmare
Sadus - A Vision of Misery
Heathen - Breaking the Silence
Exodus - Bonded by Blood
Dark Angel - Time Does Not Heal
Forbidden - Twisted Into Form
Holy Terror - Mind Wars
Artillery - Terror Squad
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul

Extending it to Thrash-related (techno-thrash, jazz-death, you name it), I'd have to go with my personal top-10 (in order):
WatchTower - Control and Resistance
Death - Human
Atheist - Unquestionable Presence
Cynic - Focus
Necrophagist - Epitaph
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
Believer - Sanity Obscure (in spite of the lyrics)
Nasty Savage - Indulgence
Vio-lence - Eternal Nightmare
Sadus - A Vision of Misery

Anthrax - Among The Living, Persistence Of Time
Coroner - Punishment For Decadence, No More Color, Mental Vortex
Death Angel - Act III
Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Forbidden - Forbidden Evil, Twisted Into Form
Megadeth - Peace Sells, Rust In Peace
Metallica - Kill 'em All, Ride The Lightning
Slayer - Hell Awaits, Reign In Blood,
Testament - The New Order, Practice What You Preach

i agree with Larf on "Bonded By Blood." it's a thrash metal classic and will always rank among the top!

oh, and for grins... how about:

Forced Entry - As Above, So Below

hi WD!!! :D

Some excellent recommendations, folks, thank you. And the Believer recommendation is killer, though I own all of Believer's albums. Christian or not, their music fucking smokes.

Larf, you win points for maximum thrash madness (outside of Pyrus, I couldn't imagine more potent thrashing madness recommended) though I do question recommending Nuclear Assault's most recent. The bits I've heard seemed rather bland. Is it really that good?
