Best U.S. City to live for a power metal band?

I currently live in Denver, and I only know of ONE other power metal band active here called Brutal Hand. The rest is stupid screamo stuff and those are the only bands we get shows with. What do you guys think?

I have asked this on a few other forums as well, I will collaborate answers for you guys!

Yep. People in the US dont like powermetal. It's all death metal and deathcore.
Dont blame em though. Power metal for the most part sucks dick.

Move to Canada, there's definitely alot of interest in Ontario at the most part. But that's just 1 band that I know of who have made it quite popular enough to have 2 albums. There's a few more that comes to mind, but I don't remember there names atm.

best city for powermetal....not even close to being sure. like others said, come over to europe. there's tons of interest.

Well, after reading the title of the Thread, the first thing I thought was "would you move just to work on your power metal band?"

Apart from that, I must say that Power metal is my favourite metal genre and I don't want to think it's dead. Anyway, it seems hard for a power metal band to rise in the US, but I wonder why.
