Shit, forgot about Savatage. Feel free to pick "other" and then nominate an album. Yes, "Gutter Ballet" or "Hall of the Mountain King" are the only acceptable answers. :loco:

Haha, two people will vote here: Doomcifer and IoftheStorm. :loco:
heh i have never heard any of these bands

maybe i heard iced earth or manowar before, i can't recall. if i did i wasn't impressed. now that i think about it i probably have at some point.

It may not have loincloths or bloody blades, but Savatage's Dead Winter Dead qualifies as epic due to a serious concept CD about the balkans bullshit

It's work like this, from serious, knowledable musicians, that give me just a shred of hope that the "concept" album deserves to live.

And I'll continue to bleat that the "Ghost in the Ruins" track "Hounds" is fucking epic proof that chris and jon and caffery were always the peak

Had to go with Manowar myself, honorable mentions to Sanctuary, Manilla Road, and Virgin Steele. I've heard all of those except Omen and Helstar.

By the way, Nevermore must not be epic. You'll have to convince Zod, or feel the wrath of his buring eyesocket laserfire.

LOL...voted for Sanctuary largely out of my own fanboyness, and because it kicks enough ass that I can almost understand why some weirdos could consider it superior to Nevermore... :)
