best, worst things of the day?

Indeed ^_^ I'm super excited :) More so about Epic London Trip at the moment. But also about getting the hell out of Glasgow.

Clearly I'll feel a bit rubbish leaving Alan but I can't be tied down by men for my entire life (he'll get over it :p )

fair enough then

what date is it again?

oh, what would you be willing to pay in rent a month, just so I can start looking? was thinking i'd go around and look at any decent looking two beds, and then we could arrange for you to come down to have a look at the good ones

Yeah sounds like a plan Katie! I dunno - not really sure of prices of houses in Leeds compared to here! How much are they on average? I'm quite flexible. Starting to save money now ^_^ I plan on trying to line up a few job interviews for April and come down to Leeds for about a week.

I hope this goes as well as I have it planned in my head :p

At the moment there are quite a few decent two beds available for £250-275 a month, then bills and council tax on top of that... the only problem is in a month they'll mostly be gone, by april we could be scrounging round for the crappy or expensive places. Leeds is bad for this very reason, thousands of students, houses just go ridiculously early...
It's really annoying!!! But I do really want you to move here so we'll definitely have to sort something out. Generally you have to pay a £300 deposit when you sign up, can't remember if you have to pay the first months rent at the same time, will look into that...

Yeah, defo. Well I get paid at the end of this month. So if you need the deposit asap I can forward it to you via paypal or something. Gets it out the way incase you see a REALLY awesome flat.

Also means I'm signed up for good XD lol. And it means I can't spend it on unneccesary rubbish I don't need!!! Curses to the students!!!

Hmm... you will have to fill out loads of forms and sign a contract. have you got a fax machine, i'm sure we'd be able to fax you a copy then you fax them back completed if I do find somewhere... What's the furthest away you'd want to live from the town centre? Right now I live in burley/kirkstall, it's about 1 1/2 mile from centre, and a few hundred meters from the cinema/leisure complex. Pretty decent area, quieter than the other student areas but still easy within easy reach of everything you need.
hahaha curse them indeed! Taking all our flats and not even paying council tax! how very dare they!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot they don't pay coucil tax. Scroungers :p I was a student for 3 years, I know it's true!!! Haha.

I don't have a fax machine in my house but I have access to a fax machine in work (and they said it's fine to use it for personal stuff as long as I'm not abusing it and usuing it ALLLLLL the time). Which I'm not. Because I never have found a need to fax anything so far apart from my P46.

Furthest I'd probably live is 2 miles. Burley sounds good and looks pretty central on googlemapsss ^_^

Cool, I shall start looking then and let you know what I find :)

and hope you're okay hun!!!

I too have had a blood related incident, I donated blood today... so now i feel weak, sick, keep going hot and cold, and if i stand up i go really dizzy... i hate this feeling!!! But at least I did a good thing

Awesome!

Well...here's the story. I was in work, no one told me it had been snowing. But yes...apparently it snowed, then rained. Creating a very icy situation. So I fell. But alas! It was my lucky day!!! I just got my trousers wet and was a bit embarrassed...apart from that - fine!

So I get to the train station...train is delayed because of aforementioned weather. But I wait. Get on the train! Yay - finally getting to go home!!!

Wrong.

The train stops two stops before my stop. So I decide to walk. BAD idea. 15 minute walk. Uphill. And it is MUCH icier here than in the city centre!!! So I'm being careful...I'm 12 minutes into my 15 minute walk. I'm literally round the corner from my house...when I fall...not very gracefully might I add.

And in an attempt to stop myself I grabbed out for a fence...and cut my hand. And I fell anyway...thus ripping the my hand open. I jumped up straight away. Started walking and didn't realise for about 20 seconds that I was bleeding all over myself (only realised because my hand felt strangely warm).

So I got home and wrapped it in a towel...and like 30 minutes later it was still bleeding heavily. So I had to go to bloody A&E where I received 5 stitches. It was pretty gross. I changed my wee bandage thing today...my hand is huge and black/purple. And I STILL went to work today!!! *shakes bloody swollen fist* lmao.

Katie - you're sure you still want to move in with me? I'm pretty accident prone!!! Especially with my right hand so it seems!!!
