Billy Milano: 'Anthrax Should Just Move On Or Get John Bush Back'

Interesting maybe but.. just get a singer and play thrash again!

If you expect the band will ever record Among the Living pt. II or something like that, you'll be disappointed. Anthrax has taken up with songs like Inside Out, Safe Home, Only, Cadillac Rock Box etc. Once for all, forget about a formula Anthrax = thrash metal.

I like that the band did something thoroughly un-Thrash like Toast To The Extras but then still had something heavy like Black Dahlia (sp?)

Who wants to hear a record with no light and shade?!

I'd still want a thrash record, but not exactly in the Among the Living vein. (I don't really like that one very much anyway. Hopefully that isn't blasphemy, but Persistence of Time is my absolute favorite.) I didn't like the direction they went in with the Bush material. I didn't have a problem with Bush's voice at all, just with the material they wrote for/with him. I wouldn't want ATL stuff either... Persistence of Time-like stuff would be my pick, but possibly heavier and faster.

"There's nothing I hate more
Than all these plastic people
With all their plastic promises and all their plastic deals.
They just can't be themselves
And live their own lives out
They're just an imitation
Of what life's all about."
-Anthrax; Imitation of Life

This song they stole from Danny Lilker an was an SOD song..

Few expect something like he 80's stuff i think though many would love thme to do so. At least i hope they play something that can be described in general as heavy.. oh, and find a singer first.

Persistence of Time is my all time favorite Belladonna record. And by far. SOE was my least favorite.

Now that that reunion is over (which has been great, live at least, but no one really needed it) they must record a good follow-up to WCFYA. This one was the best record of the bush-era, even if SOWN was a very, very good one too (and a little (little little little) better than POT, if you ask me - "Among The Living" was the best Anthrax-Record ever!!! WCFYA documented that the band has developed without cutting their roots (greetings, Lars Ulrich...) and it definetly needs a good follow-up.

Ick. I used to like WCFYA, but I don't anymore. I dunno why, it just seems too modern-rock-ish. Even "What Doesn't Die", in the chorus, reminds me of nu metal or something, especially the guitar part. (No offense meant, that's just how it sounds to me.) I'm really REALLY hoping it won't sound like that. To Mr. Ju: whatever. Danny Lilker was once in Anthrax, so the sig stays. :p
