I don't agree with that at all. Charlie and Scott "let" Billy do SOD? Who was going to be the singer for SOD if Billy wasn't allowed by Scott and Charlie to join? Did they also "let" Danny Lilker join?
Considering it was the band was scott's idea, it was him who had to let everyone in.

well, other than what he says about anthrax, on a personal level Billy is a realy friendly down to earth guy. I've never cared what he says about anthrax. they're not my friends or family and i've never spoken to any of the members.
plus my post was in regard to peoples reaction to what he's said. i don't see why it surprises anyone.

Who's surprised? I'm just confused how someone can be THAT obsessed about being in someone else's shadow. [And it has to be a huge shadow for billy to be in it] I've seen murderers, rapists and child molesters with less psychologial disorders than that guy.

He really isn't obsessed at all. He only mentions it here...probably just to piss you all off. I have never heard him mention it out of these threads unless someone else brings it up.
As far as riding coat tails...couldn't you say that about every non-founding member of any band? That's just silly. It's not as if SOD was that big a success anyway. It took like 20 years to sell a million copies of SEOD...and Bigger Than the Devil probably sold nothing. That's not exactly a commercial success. Billy's personality is SOD...he's big and brash, loud and outspoken. Without him, that project would have just fizzled away. The other members are dry and boring...it needed someone outrageous to carry those lyrics. The music itself is nothing special. Billy made it bigger than life.

While I agree that Billy added personality and humor to the project, I'd hardly say that the other members are "dry and boring". I don't consider Anthrax music to be boring and Billy's not in that band.

What I mean is that SOD's music is nothing special...just hard and fast....It's Billy's personality and crude sense of humor that created any mystique around the project at all. They wouldn't have pulled it off even with the moderate level of success it achieved without Milano...you can't argue that. His relationship with NY/HC didn't hurt either...it allowed it to circulate the underground.
Maybe you don't find the music boring, but they're not really interesting personalities.
Not that any of this really matters.

Actually, it just makes you look dumb for letting him get a rise out of you. I am almost positive Scott and Charlie have seen his comments before when they actually used to visit this board and they have never said anything or seemed to care what he has said, so why should you?
