Winmar, Xena and I went along to see these guys in Sydney last night. They were shit hot! What a fucking kick ass band! Silvio from Vanishing Point got up to do some duet vocals with Jon the singer too. I don't know why these guys are doing wasting their time playing the Vic on the Park. They should go to Europe with Dungeon and destroy Wacken.
Probably about 1/3 of the crowd was there to mainly see Vaticide who are also pretty cool. Tyburnjig have really come along pretty well too. Fuck it was hot inside the pub. It was like watching a gig in a sauna. Good show though.

I was a bit dissapointed actually! The mix wasn't the best, and in my opinion the vocals sound a lot stronger on the album... He did waaaaaaaaaaaay too much high shrieking for my liking - i prefer when he sings a little lower, like on the album. Still, not too shabby!

Silvio is an excellent vocalist... Can't wait till VP visit Syd again, he sounds great live.

VP won't be in Sydney for a long time. JOn has way better voice than Sylvio and the sound was pretty damn good on Sat. Night for all bands.Mecks I don't know why you think the way you maybe your you're a VP style fan!

I think Jon may have stretched his range once or twice but that's easy to do in a live situ, especially in a place like the Vic. I still don't have any complaints, though.

'twas a good gig. BM are playing at Breakers in Melbourne at the end of next month, with EyeFear ($8). Went there to see Anarion last night, who fucking rocked the house again.

One way to get lots of people to talk to you: wear a Maiden t-shirt that people haven't seen before.
