I was there too.
The Black Majesty album is hell impressive but I gotta admit I wasn't expecting them to impress me like they did at Vic on the Park last week.
One of the best metal bands going around without doubt. And how cool for them to have Silvio from Vanishing Point to be part of the gig. Vanishing Point are also favourites of mine but quite different to Black Majesty who are a lot heavier in the classic metal sense.
How's about the drum solo - wicked - aint seen that in a long while- great drummer - very old school and done well - and the cover of Halford's Resurrection totally spun me out. Killer job especially the vocals of John Cavaliere. Real good variety to his voice - highs and lows I thought. As to the mix I guess its where you stood. Sounded very good to me. Vocals especially.
Does anyone know when Black Majety are planning to come back to Sydney. I agree about them getting themselves over to Europe quick smart they certainly have that spark to go a long long way. Good on em. Great to see another really impressive new Aussie metal mixing it on the world scale.
