Nah, Dissection is melodic death metal mixed with black metal. From what I've heard, Blackend Death is more like conventional death metal mixed with black, I'll check those bands that have been recomended.Guardian of Darkness said:

As far as mixing death and black goes, I can't see how it could be done successfully. I've heard people call Arghoslent 'blackened death' before, although I think this is silly. They are one of my favourite DM bands however, don't hesitate to buy their stuff.

do yourself a favor and get anything by Belphegor, the only band ive ever heard to be both black metal and death metal at the same time.
Soulseek is not being my friend today, I've only found Aeturnus so far (which is damn good) but I'll keep searching for the others...

I could not agree more. Belphegor is great anyway, but when they lean a little further towards the black metal end of the scale, they are absolutely incredible. Highly recommended, in my opinion, if you are looking for black death.
