Unexpect - In a Flesh Aquarium - THE BEST avant garde album I've heard in years.
Suspyre - A Great Divide - Awesome prog album
Equilibrium - Turis Fratyr - My alltime favorite Folk Metal album.
Behold... The Arctopus - Nano-Nucleonic Cyborg Summoning - Relatively new instrumental avant garde band i recently came across. I love it, but its certainly not for everyone.

Also get Agalloch's second album, "The Mantle" if you haven't already, tis amazing.
