Anybody got it or tried it? Is it good for modern very higain sounds? For gothic metal, rammstain-like tones etc.? I need it only for direct recording, with its built-in speaker simulator or with impulses. I´m afraid that the price of this unit seems to be too low to be true Or better to get Sansamp GT2?

I don´t want ordinary oldschool (iron maiden etc.) sound, just modern, maybe a bit industrial-ish tone...

It's made by old men, for old men who plays Ac/dc on weekends. To be able to use it, you have to use it like an amp, with a TS9 in front, a massive EQ after. The built in cab sim sounds like... well not modern anyway.

i just listened to some examples of this pedal in our local magazine CD attachment, and I must say that you are absolutely right, TheDude. It is oldschool, nothing about "pure valve filth"...
