atreyu is a great hardcore band that utilizes gothenburg style death metal riffs.. they sound just like at the gates or in flames sometimes, just with more hardcore (growl with more shouting) vocals..
between the buried and me is another incredible metalcore band.. they fuse lots of styles of heavy music together, resulting in a pretty damn interesting musical experience
not to mention the fact that they have some of the best guitarists/bassist/drummer i've ever seen in a local band
