Canadian Death Metal

Alberta, Saskatchewan, it's all the same East of BC until you hit Ontario :D
Yeah, well .. er ... tell that to Opeth!

5th - Winnipeg, The Venue - MB (onsaledate 21/1)
7th - Saskatoon, Odeon Event Centre - SK (onsaledate 28/1)
8th - Edmonton, Red´« - AB (onsaledate 21/1)
9th - Calgary, MacEwan Hall Ballroom - AB (onsaledate 21/1)

I see no BC on the list of tourdates! :Smug: (actually I'm hoping to move there some day, just got to stand up for the vast fields of wheat and canola that make up the Canadian prairie)

The singer (Stu) is from Vancouver, he's a friend. His old band did a reunion show a few months ago, it was awesome.
I lost track of all the members after the entire lineup of DoD (except Tim, of course) left. Not really into them these days anyway.

ouch! Yeah, sucks for BCers, even though they made a trip this way last tour. Good thing I'm moving to Wisconsin in time for the Milwaukee date! :D

Though I'd probably rather live in BC :erk:

He was there for a couple weeks wasn't he? :D

Dave Hewson sells signed stuff on ebay. I have a signed copy of the Bloody Karnage Demo, Surrender or Die and Fuck of Death signed by Dave and Terry Sadler and then got a Fuck of Death shirt too that's pretty cool. I love Slaughter :D
ya i bought those off him from ebay too, but only dave signed them :(

praetoria opened for opeth back on the deliverance tour jan 2003 in toronto, they're on hold now

Someone the other week was asking me if I'd ever heard them. I'm not really that familiar with the bands of the East beyond the more well known ones and a few other I recognise from your list, I mostly BC and some of the Alberta bands that come here/post on message boards I go to.

Axis of Advance wasn't mentioned yet from Alberta. Good band.

(although i thought only devin from syl is canadian)

I think the only member not born in Canada is Gene Hoglan. But he's a citizen I think now, lives in Vancouver anyway. I see him at local shows frequently when they aren't touring.
