Hi,
I took off the front of my behringer 412h cab to test out mic placement closer to a speaker. I ended up doing a little test and trying to achieve the tone of a song from Bloodpunch, you can find the song here: http://www.myspace.com/reamping it's the first one that starts playing.
You can find my version over here:

I used my Peavey V type which got a 81 in the neck and 85 in the bridge. I used the 85. This went in TS7 and then into my Marshall TSL 100(lead chan) into the behringer cab. Recorded with an SM 57.
What do u guys think of it? Ofcourse it can improve alot more. I personally think some more gain on my guitars would already help. I also think the sound of Bloodpunch has some higher midtones(more 'treblish'), I have some lower. This is the first tone that I kinda like. It's amazing how good micing helps!
