Blues influenced metal

So I'm not really very accustomed to the whole forum scene...So Maybe I'll get totally shot down for this.lol...

Blues influence can be heard in a lot of different types of metal..

Generally i find its more classically routed, or blues routed

e.g. pantera, rebel meets rebel, overkill, slayer--> seem bluesier

opeth, dimmu borgir, etc --> more classical?

um
I'm really making an attempt to explain what I'm looking for here, bare with me..

then ..there obviously are things that dont fit into those at ALL

but can you recommend some more blues based, blues influenced..metal?

I'm getting tired of the other options

from any 'category'

There are plenty of blues-influenced bands in stoner and sludge metal.

Some of my favorites:

Cathedral
Clutch
Down (has members of Pantera in it fyi)
Electric Wizard
Eyehategod
Orange Goblin
Kyuss

There are other genres that are fairly pentatonic scale oriented (speed metal, I think), though someone else would have to provide a list for that.

Sleep Terror is a one man death/prog/blues metal project. Shame he added vocals to most of the songs, but still worth a listen (I think there's still an instrumental track on the myspace page)
