That IS pretty odd. Aren't you in your 30's?

Can't deny that I envy that a little bit. Pit hair is nothing more than one of those things we should've in theory evolved to no longer need or have, yet still have. Like the tail bone, fuck that noise.

For excessive sweaters, sometimes a buildup of old sweat/odor can occur in the under arm material of your shirts that normal detergents can't remove. Once you put on a 'clean' shirt and start sweating your shirt will absorb the new sweat pushing out the old aged sweat. This creates a strong odor very quickly.
No amount of deodorant will stop you from smelling if this is the case.

Try washing all of you shirts in hot water and add a cup of white vinegar.
Then put through a normal wash with detergent.
This will get your shirts super clean and smelling fresh.

change the type of 'shower in a can' you use every now and again too.

My 2 cents.

usually your body sweats excessively when it is trying to rid your body of something or your body temp is too high.

Morgan, we were talking about dietary stuff the other day and you were saying something about how you probably COULD eat healthier.

Despite my earlier comments about my perspiration, compared to what it USED to be like, it's about 10x less prominent, 10x less frequent and 10x less overpowering and I am convinced a large amount of it is to do with my diet.

Eat a chilli now and then too, the sweating and nose running serves to get rid of a lot of impurities, you'll probably noticed you feel pretty refreshed once the burning and sweating finishes.

I shave my pits every second week, cuz the bad smell is caused by bacteria that proliferates in that zone thanks to sweat. therefore if you shave it, it will help keeping the zone drier and cleaner of bacteria. Also use gel like deodorants (ISDIN) or antiperspirants, to keep it dry. Also try to not use t-shirts that are too tight in the pits, as it will keep them too closed and will smell like a motherfucker.

Yis are a shower of pansies,
Our ancestors survived through 4 million years of blood, flame and ice so that we could sit in air conditioned homes and fret over the state of our armpits. 'sake.

and yeah im drunk.

Truth brutha!

Now enjoy the beer you didn't have to moonshine in your bath-tub by yourself!! :goggly:

I have no idea how you can go for that long - the stubble *and* the smell... worst of both worlds.

I've been busy with studies, but the semester is over and I was told that I needed to take a break before I went even funnier in the head.

I've made a lot of mistakes...

Count me in as another guy who shaves their arm pits.
It helps quite a lot I must say and I shave about once a week.

I've never shaved my pits, but I feel like my junk gets sweatier when I shave it (not like that stops me of course :D), so I always kinda figured it would be that way with pits, like the hair absorbs it

A perhaps helpful suggestion that I didn't see anyone mention... Just a few Google diagnosis doctors in the house. lol.

You could consider using an anti-microbial body scrub such as HibiScrub (might be called something else where you are).

This stuff works wonders. It doesn't smell medicated or anything, just a "clean" smell. It basically just leaves your skin super sterile without drying it out or any side effects.

I use it daily in the shower 'cos I used to have the odd pimple here and there and ever since I've used it, not a single one.

Since they're both caused by bacterial infections, could well be worth a try.

Woah, lots of replies. Ok.

Could be a diet thing man, do you eat well?

I eat very well. I could eat more veges, but other than that I eat really fucking well. I have a fair amount of fruit, everything is brown/wholegrain, everything is real food that's cooked, nothing processed.

If you can deal with it, shaving your armpits can help with both perspiration and smell, as it lets the deodorant make direct contact with your skin rather than getting all caught up in the hair.

I'll try this. I 'trimmed' them (shaver set to like 3mm or something) and that didn't do anything, though.

One other thing - I almost never stink when I sweat, and I'm pretty sure it's because I drink a truly absurd amount of water daily

I usually drink about 2L daily, more if I go to the gym. I'll try drinking more though.

Honestly this sounds like it's probably a major factor. Even a tiny amount of sweat produces a huge amount of smell, especially in a few of my tshirts.

What's 'shower in a can'?

Also try to not use t-shirts that are too tight in the pits, as it will keep them too closed and will smell like a motherfucker.

This is a bit of an issue too. I've gained a bit over 10kg this year and I'm still wearing the same shirts. But I like them!

Also, I should probably start showering in the morning. With temperatures rising I'm sweating at night, then waking up expecting to be perfectly clean. It's just weird that this is a new thing, I can't think of anything that's significantly changed in the last 3-4 months that could have caused it.

35, can't grow a beard either. Hardly have hair on my arms too. Just a hairless mofo. I'm told it has something to do with the peruvian side of my family but IDK for sure. At least I don't have to shave my chest and back. :ill:
